Colorado Springs, Colo. - Nate Scott (Wyoming), Rick Crowell (Colorado State) and Holomon Wiggins (New Mexico) were named Mountain West Conference Players of the Week for their performances on the football field last weekend. Wiggins is named Player of the Week for the second time this season, while Scott and Crowell are recognized for the first time in their careers.

Nate Scott, Wyoming, RB, Junior (MWC Offensive Player of the Week) The fleet footed running of Nate Scott led Wyoming to a 31-10 victory over Central Michigan. The Weed, Calif., native's two touchdown runs included a Mountain West Conference and Wyoming school record 95-yard gallop. In compiling the highest rushing output by a Cowboy in six years, Scott averaged 9.6 yards per carry and accounted for 192 of Wyoming's 311 rushing yards.

Rick Crowell, Colorado State, LB, Senior (MWC Defensive Player of the Week) Crowell turned in a career performance with a 19-tackle, 16 solo stop, effort in Colorado State's 13-10 defeat at Arizona State. Crowell made his presence felt behind the line of scrimmage with a sack and tackle for loss, for minus 26 yards. In two starts this season the Chula Vista, Calif., native has tallied 30 tackles.

Holomon Wiggins, New Mexico, PR, Junior (MWC Special Teams Player of the Week) Wiggins earns Player of the Week accolades for the second time this season, having been named Offensive Player of the Week following the season-opener. Wiggins set-up the Lobos game-winning touchdown in a 16-13 triumph over New Mexico State with a 77-yard, fourth-quarter punt return to the Aggie 1-yardline. The return was the second longest in Mountain West Conference history and ranks fourth on the UNM all-time list.
