LAS VEGAS - UNLV football coach John Robinson wants to involve tailback Larry Croom more in the offense, but just how is unclear.

"I just think we have a way above-average player there," Robinson said. "If you get guys involved and then start looking again at, `Well, OK, this is the way we got Larry involved last week; can we get him involved differently the next week?' Those are things that I think you try to do from week to week, and if you do them successfully, you continue to improve."

Croom shared time with starter Joe Haro in Saturday's 31-20 victory over Kansas and rushed for 88 yards on 11 carries. Haro gained 105 yards on 14 attempts.

The Rebels' next game is at 4:07 p.m. Saturday at Oregon State.

While looking for a different way to use Croom, Robinson said it wasn't his intent to make him the feature back.
