COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -
All nine Mountain West Conference institutions are represented in the National Football League (NFL) this season. The MWC boasts 94 players from its schools who have been named to NFL rosters. Utah leads the Conference with 19 players playing on Sunday, including former Ute quarterback Alex Smith, who was picked first in the 2005 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. BYU has 16 former players in the league, while San Diego State has 15.
