MWC announces Fan Favorite Photo Contest
Sept. 3, 2009
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -The Mountain West Conference is using Facebook to interact with its fans this football season. Starting this week, the MWC is kicking off its Football Fan Favorite Photo Contest that will offer Facebook users the chance to win weekly prizes.
To enter the contest, become a fan of the MWC's official Facebook page by visiting www.Facebook.com/MountainWestConference. Then, send your favorite game-day photos via e-mail or mobile device to email@example.com by 5 p.m. MT on Sundays. Send us pictures of your pre-game tailgate parties and barbeques, photos with the mascot, candids of the kids, or pics of the best dressed fans. You're the fans, so you decide what shots to capture!
Please note that due to the Labor Day weekend, the deadline for the first week of the MWC Football Fan Favorite Photo Contest has been extended to 9 p.m. MT on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
Each Monday, the MWC will narrow the field and will post the finalists to the official MWC Facebook page. Fans will vote for their favorite by clicking the "like" button for that image. Votes will be accepted until 9 a.m. MT every Friday, and the winner will be announced on TheMWC.com and on the MWC's Facebook page. Each week's favorite fan photo will win an MWC prize pack, and at the end of the 2009 football regular season, will go head-to-head against all weekly winners for the grand prize: two tickets to an MWC bowl game of their choice.*
The MWC Football Fan Favorite Photo Contest is open to all fans of the official MWC Facebook page, excluding those who are employees of a member institution or are involved with the administration and/or execution of the contest. The MWC is not responsible for any unauthorized use of your photos by other Facebook users.
All photos must be consistent with the Football Fan Favorite theme and in compliance with the Contest Rules. The MWC encourages camaraderie and team spirit, but has the following limits on subject matter:
Participants retain ownership rights to their photos, and submissions cannot violate the privacy or intellectual property rights of any person or entity. The MWC reserves the right to remove photos at any time that are not in compliance with the Contest Rules.
Don't want to compete in the contest, but still want to share your photos? The MWC will also upload your images to our fan photo galleries. Share your photos from other MWC events or from your favorite spots on campus. Are there hidden hot-spots where fans, TV networks and the Conference office staff should eat in your city? Take some photos and send them to Webmaster@themwc.com. Please make sure to include the name of the location and a description of the photo to let us know why this place is a must-visit.
