FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- The amount of time left for the Colorado State Rams to prepare for their season opener against the Colorado Buffaloes is dwindling down after another practice Tuesday morning, which consisted of a visit from former punter Deone Horinek and two professional scouts.

The biggest offensive play of the day came during an 11-on-11 thud period, when senior quarterback Billy Farris found Rashaun Greer for a 45-yard touchdown. The defense also made a couple plays, intercepting two Klay Kubiak passes, one of which was returned 7 yards for a touchdown by defensive lineman Nuku Latu.

Nick Oppenneer, who is still wearing the red jersey, was riding the bike and running sprints along the sideline, and also making a few cuts on his sprained ankle. Tommie Hill was able to participate in more contact drills.

On Wednesday, the Rams will take the field for another day of two-a-days, beginning at 7:45 a.m.
