VERSUS to Air Eighteen College Football Games in 2007 Network will televise five games each in the Pac-10 and Big 12 Conferences and Eight Mountain West Conferences Games beginning Saturday, Sept. 1
June 11, 2007 STAMFORD, Conn. (June 11, 2007)--VERSUS, the network that celebrates real competition in all its forms, will televise eighteen college football games this fall with a schedule that includes eight games in the Mountain West Conference as well as five games from each the Pac-10 and Big 12 conferences. Last year was the first year that the network televised Mountain West Conference games and this year is the first time that VERSUS will air Pac-10 and Big 12 games as part of a sublicense agreement with FSN. VERSUS will kick-off its coverage of college football on Saturday, September 1 with Virginia at Wyoming at 2 p.m. ET and at 5:30 p.m. ET with Arizona at BYU. VERSUS concludes its coverage with "The Big Game"; the annual match-up between Stanford and California and this year marks the 25th anniversary of "The Play", one of the most famous finishes in all of college football history. The on-air talent for the VERSUS telecasts will be announced as details are available.
