FORT WORTH, Texas -- TCU preseason All-America defensive end Tommy Blake will be featured on the cover of the 2007 issue of Dave Campbell's Texas Football.

Blake shares the cover with Texas quarterback Colt McCoy and Texas A&M signal caller Stephen McGee. The publication hits the newsstands Monday.

The magazine was started in 1960 by Dave Campbell, longtime writer and editor for the Waco Tribune-Herald. Since then, it has become one of the best-selling football magazines in the state and has been dubbed "The Bible of Texas Football." Each year, its release is widely anticipated and the identity of the cover is a tightly-guarded secret.

As a prelude to the release of the magazine, FSN Southwest will air a special -- "Under the Lights" Texas Football Magazine Cover Story -- Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 10 p.m. At that time, the official cover will be unveiled.

Blake is a preseason All-American by Playboy, Athlon and NationalChamps.net. The Sporting News has tabbed him as the Mountain West Conference Defensive Player of the Year and the nation's fifth-best defensive end. Blake is on watch lists for the Lombardi Award and Lott Trophy.

A senior from Aransas Pass, Texas, Blake topped the MWC last season with 16.5 tackles for a loss while tying for the league lead with seven sacks. A unanimous first-team All-MWC selection, Blake was the Defensive Most Valuable Player in TCU's 37-7 Poinsettia Bowl victory over Northern Illinois.

Blake totaled 54 stops for the Frogs last year, including a tackle for a loss in all but two games. The former high school tailback forced two fumbles and recovered two. He returned a fumble 12 yards for a touchdown in a win at New Mexico.
