FORT WORTH, Texas -- The kickoff time for TCU's Sept. 8 football game at Texas will be 6 p.m. with the contest televised nationally on FSN.

The Horned Frogs and Longhorns will be meeting on the gridiron for the first time since 1995 in the final year of the Southwest Conference. It will also mark the 82nd game in a series that began in 1897.

One of the more memorable moments in TCU history was a 6-0 win at No. 1 Texas on Nov. 18, 1961.

TCU is 4-0 while allowing just 11.0 points per game against the Big 12 the last two seasons, defeating Oklahoma, Iowa State, Baylor and Texas Tech.

The Frogs, who own the nation's fourth-longest current winning streak at eight in a row, open the 2007 campaign with a Sept. 1 home game against Baylor.

TCU is one of just five teams nationally to win at least 11 games three times in the last four seasons.
