Schlueter named to Rimington Award Watch List TCU center topped the Frogs in knockdown blocks in 2006
May 1, 2007 FORT WORTH, Texas -- TCU football's Blake Schlueter has been named to the watch list for the 2007 Rimington Award, honoring the nation's top center. Schlueter started all 13 games last season. He topped the Frogs in knockdown blocks while being selected honorable-mention All-Mountain West Conference in his first year as a starter. A junior from Ganado, Texas, Schlueter was instrumental in TCU ranking ninth nationally in rushing (194.6 yards per game). The Frogs averaged 400 yards in total offense for the fourth straight year. Schlueter allowed just one sack as TCU surrendered only 15 sacks on the season, tied for the sixth-lowest total in the country. As a redshirt freshman in the 2005 campaign, Schlueter saw action in all 12 games as a back-up to Stephen Culp.
