FORT WORTH, Texas -- TCU head football coach Gary Patterson will be a live guest Sunday on Dale Hansen's Sports Special at 10:30 p.m. on WFAA-TV (Channel 8) in the Dallas/Fort Worth market.

The Horned Frogs (11-2) closed the 2008 campaign Dec. 23 with a 17-16 victory over No. 9 Boise State in the Poinsettia Bowl. TCU, which entered the game ranked 11th, is primed for its highest ranking in a season-ending poll since the 1950s.

The Frogs have won at least 11 games in three of the last four seasons and have reached 10 victories in five of the last seven years under Patterson. The Poinsettia Bowl win over Boise State marked Patterson's 100th game as TCU's head coach. He is 73-27, leaving him one win shy of tying Abe Martin (74, 1953-66) for second place on the Frogs' all-time victory list.

TCU has won four straight bowl games for the first time in its history. The Frogs are also one of just seven teams to have a current bowl winning streak of at least four in a row.

When the 2008 college football campaign concludes Thursday, TCU will lead the nation in total defense (217.8 yards per game) for the third time in nine seasons. The Frogs will also finish first in run defense (47.1 yards) and second in scoring defense (11.3 points per game).
