New Mexico Falls to Oregon State 17-7

CORVALLIS, Ore. - The University of New Mexico could not overcome two second quarter touchdowns by Oregon State and fell to the Beavers 17-7 in front of 35,362 at a rainy Reser Stadium. Oregon State moves to 1-2 overall as the Lobos fall to 1-2 on the season. The Lobos only score of the day came in the third quarter on a Derek Anderson fumble caused by Nick Speegle, that was picked up and returned 70 yards by Josh Bazinet. Oregon State's 17 points came on two second quarter touchdown passes by Anderson and a fourth quarter 27 yard field goal by Alexis Serna.
