RENO, Nev. (AP) - Jeff Rowe passed for 210 yards and two touchdowns to help Nevada beat Colorado State 28-10 on Saturday night.

Rowe completed 19 of 22 passes and had touchdown strikes of 39 yards to Mike McCoy and 11 yards to Brandon Fragger. Robert Hubbard and Luke Lippincott each rushed for a touchdown for Nevada (1-2), which beat Colorado State for the first time. The Wolf Pack were 0-7 against the Rams prior to Saturday.

Nevada held Colorado State (2-1) to 64 yards rushing and sacked Caleb Hanie five times. Hanie completed 14 of 25 passes for 113 yards and was intercepted twice.

Nevada jumped to a 14-0 lead in the first half. Hubbard scored on a 1-yard run with 7:48 left in the first quarter, and Lippincott plunged in from 2 yards out with 14:54 left in the second.

Colorado State's defense kept it close, as the Rams took advantage of an interception by safety Mike Pagnotta, which he returned to the Nevada 22, for their first score - a 36-yard field goal by Jason Smith.

The Rams then forced Nevada to punt on its next possession and Sed Patterson blocked the kick, recovered it and ran it 2 yards out for the touchdown.

Nevada scored with 51 seconds left in the second quarter on a 39-yard pass from Rowe to McCoy to take a 21-10 lead.

Hubbard rushed for 88 yards, and Caleb Spencer caught eight passes for 78 yards for the Wolf Pack.
