Wyoming and Oregon State Share Two Common Opponents Thus Far in 2000-01 Season -- UC Riverside and Cal State Fullerton: The Wyoming Cowboys and Oregon State Beavers have played two common opponents entering this season -- UC Riverside and Cal State Fullerton.

The 2000 Mini Mart Wyoming Shootout Will Feature Both the Cowboys and Cowgirls: For the second consecutive year, the Mini Mart Wyoming Shootout will feature both the Wyoming Cowboy and Cowgirl basketball programs. This year's doubleheader will be played on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000. Here is the schedule for this year's Shootout.

Ticket Information for the Mini Mart Wyoming Shootout: Fans wishing to purchase tickets to Saturday's Mini Mart Wyoming Shootout may call the Casper Events Center Ticket Office at 1-800-442-2256 or 1-307-577-3030. Ticket prices are $12.00 per ticket.

First Interstate Bank Shootout Luncheon to Tipoff 2000 Wyoming Shootout: On Saturday, Dec. 16 beginning at noon, the First Interstate Bank Shootout Luncheon will take place at the Parkway Plaza Hotel in Casper, Wyo. First Interstate Bank will sponsor the Shootout luncheon.

The guest speakers for the luncheon will be Cowgirl head coach Cindy Fisher, Cowboy head coach Steve McClain, Idaho State head coach Ardie McInelly and Oregon State head coach Ritchie McKay.

Tickets for the luncheon are $15.00 in advance and $20.00 if purchased at the door. To purchase advance tickets, call the Casper Events Center Ticket Office at 1-800-442-2256 or 1-307-577-3030.

Wyoming Fans Invited to Pregame Function at the Shootout: Wyoming fans are invited to attend a pregame function to be held from 4-8 p.m. in the Three Trails Rooms in the Casper Events Center on Saturday, Dec. 16. Cost for the function is $10.00 for Cowboy Joe Club members and $12.00 for non-members.

Cowboys Have Enjoyed Success Playing in Casper: Through the years, the Wyoming Cowboys have enjoyed a great deal of success playing in Casper. Since the 1983-84 season, the Cowboys have played annually in Casper. Wyoming brings a 26-7 (.788) record in Casper into this season.

From the 1983 Shootout through the 1998 version, the Shootout was a two-day event featuring four men's teams. Beginning in December of 1999, the Shootout format was changed to a one-day event featuring a doubleheader with the Wyoming Cowgirls and Wyoming Cowboys each playing.

Notes From This Week in Cowboy Basketball:
*Wyoming evened its road record at 1-1 for the 2000-01 season with a 78-61 win at Cal State Fullerton on Saturday, Dec. 9.
*The Cowboys suffered their first loss of the season at Cal State Northridge on Thursday, Dec. 7 by a score of 71-74.
*Sophomore guard Marcus Bailey has scored a career high 25 points in back-to-back games last week -- versus Montana State and Cal State Northridge.
*Wyoming extended its home winning streak to eight games with its win Friday, Dec. 1 over Creighton, 78-74. The home winning streak dates back to Jan. 29, 2000.
*At home, Wyoming has defeated 15 consecutive non-conference opponents in Laramie in the Steve McClain era and holds a 15-1 (.938) record vs. non-conference opponents at home under coach McClain.
*Wyoming is now 27-3 (.900) at home against all opponents in the Steve McClain era.
*Steve McClain has posted a 26-9 (.743) record versus non-conference opponents while at Wyoming.
*Junior point guard Chris McMillian moved into a tie for No. 5 on the Wyoming career assist list when he handed out three assists in a 78-61 victory over Cal State Fullerton on Dec. 9, 2000. McMillian now has 273 assists for his career, and is tied with former Cowboy Maurice Alexander (1991-92).
*McMillian also moved into a tie for No. 6 on the Wyoming career steal list on Dec. 9 when he made two steals against Fullerton. He now has 104 steals for his career, and is tied with former Cowboy Jeron Roberts (1995-98).
*Chris McMillian started his 65th consecutive game this past Saturday in the win at Cal State Fullerton. McMillian has started every game of his college career.
*Juniors Josh Davis and Chris McMillian have now started 43 consecutive games together, dating back to Feb. 16, 1999, of their freshman season against Texas Pan-American.
*Josh Davis, Chris McMillian and Marcus Bailey have now started 32 consecutive games together, dating back to Dec. 4, 1999, against Nevada.
*The Wyoming Cowboys have enjoyed a very balanced attack through their first six games of the season. Wyoming has had eight different players score in double figures (Marcus Bailey, Paris Corner, Josh Davis, Brett McFall, Chris McMillian, Ronell Mingo, Uche Nsonwu-Amadi and Ugo Udezue).
