Home teams post a 3-1 mark in Saturday's MWC slate.

UNLV sits a half-game back of league-leading BYU following its win over Colorado State on Saturday.  In other league action, TCU upset San Diego State, while Utah beat Air Force and New Mexico topped Wyoming.  

TCU 68, San Diego State 62
Fort Worth, Texas Sat., Feb. 9, 2008
  • The win was the first for TCU over San Diego State as a member of the Mountain West Conference (1-5).
  • TCU had double-digit offensive rebounds (13) for the fifth time in the past six games.
  • TCU snapped a season-high four-game losing streak.

New Mexico 100, Wyoming 55
Albuquerque, N.M. Sat., Feb. 9, 2008
  • New Mexico swept the in-season series against the Cowboys for the first time since 1994.
  • The Lobos scored 100 points in a conference game for the first time since a 102-72 win over San Diego State on March 2, 1989.
  • New Mexico's 45-point win tied the league record for largest margin of victory in a conference contest, originally set by Air Force against Wyoming (88-43) on Feb. 3, 2007.
  • J.R. Giddens' career-high 36 points were the most points by a Lobo since Ruben Douglas scored 39 in a 76-69 win over No. 22 Utah on March 1, 2003.

  • Utah registers its first regular-season sweep of a Mountain West Conference opponent since the 2005-06 season (Wyoming).
  • Utah won for the first time this season when trailing at halftime. The Utes had lost their seven previous outings when trailing at the intermission.
  • The Utes are now 14-0 when holding a lead with five minutes remaining in the contest.

Las Vegas, Nev. Sat., Feb. 9, 2008
  • UNLV Head Coach Lon Kruger picked up his 400th career win (400-272).
  • The Runnin' Rebels collected their 17th consecutive home win over an MWC opponent (including postseason competition).
  • Colorado State lost its 10th straight game dating back to Dec. 29.
