Mountain West Conference Suspends Utah Men's Basketball Player
Jan. 31, 2008 COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - University of Utah men's basketball player Luka Drca has received a one-game suspension under section 4.4.1 of the MWC Sportsmanship Policy. Drca will miss the Utah at Colorado State contest scheduled for Saturday, February 2. At the 11:05 mark of the first half in last Saturday's TCU at Utah contest, Drca struck an opposing player with an elbow. This act fell under the definition of physical abuse and violated Rule 4.2.a of the MWC Sportsmanship Policy The Mountain West Conference will have no further comment regarding this case.
