UNLV sophomore Tre'Von Willis led the Runnin' Rebels to conference wins at BYU (76-70) and at home vs.
Utah (75-65). At BYU, Willis scored 13 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the field, including 2-for-3 from
three-point range. The 6-4 guard from Fresno, Calif., also grabbed five rebounds and had three assists with
only one turnover in 34 minutes of action. The win snapped the Cougars' 25-game home conference win
streak. In UNLV's win over Utah, Willis scored a career- and game-high 22 points on 8-of-16 shooting from
the floor (2-for-2 from beyond the arc). He also dished out a career-best tying six assists against only one
turnover and recorded a career-high three steals in 34 minutes. Willis scored seven points during a decisive
23-9 run, including a jumper that gave UNLV a 50-48 lead with 12 minutes remaining in the game. On the

percent from the field (13-for-25), 80.0 percent from three-point range (4-for-5) and hitting 5-of-7 free
throws (71.4 percent).
TYSON JOHNSON, SR., F, WYOMING (LONG ISLAND, N.Y.)
Wyoming senior Tyson Johnson, a 6-7 forward from Long Island, N.Y., helped Wyoming to a 1-1 record
on the week, losing an overtime battle at first-place TCU (78-79) and defeating rival Colorado State (83-
74) at home. At TCU, he scored 18 points on 6-for-11 shooting and pulled down eight rebounds. With 13
seconds left in regulation, he knocked down only his second three-pointer of the season to send the game
to an extra period. In UW's "Border War" win over Colorado State, Johnson was a perfect 6-for-6 from
the field and 7-of-8 from the charity stripe in scoring 19 points. He also grabbed nine rebounds, dished out
two assists and blocked one shot. For the week, Johnson averaged 18.5 points and 8.5 rebounds, while
shooting 70.6 percent from the field (12-for-17) and 92.3 percent from the free-throw line (12-for-13).
WEEK 11 RECAP
UNLV and TCU are tied atop the Mountain West standings at 4-2 each. The Runnin' Rebels were the only
team to go undefeated last week, sweeping league tilts with BYU (76-70) and Utah (75-65), while the
Horned Frogs split their MWC outings with a 79-78 overtime win against Wyoming and a 69-52 loss to New
Mexico. There is a four-way logjam for third place at 3-2 between BYU, San Diego State, Utah and New
Mexico. After falling to the Rebels, the Cougars bounced back with a 77-71 win over the Aztecs, while SDSU
