Nationally-ranked Air Force remains atop MWC standings

The home team prevailed in three of Saturday's four MWC men's basketball contests as the race for the crown remains a tight one.

Nationally-ranked Air Force (18-2, 5-1) extended its home win streak to 26 games with a 56-51 victory over San Diego State (13-6, 3-2), while Colorado State (14-4, 4-2) moved out to its best MWC start in school history with a 90-78 win over BYU (13-6, 3-2). In other action, Utah (7-12, 2-4) earned its second straight MWC win with a 62-60 victory over Wyoming (11-8, 2-4) and UNLV (16-4, 3-2) picked up its first road win of the season with a 75-66 triumph over host TCU (10-7, 2-3).

Six of this week's eight MWC contests will be televised, including a Jan. 23 national broadcast on VERSUS (San Diego State-UNLV) and a Jan. 27 national broadcast on CSTV (Utah-San Diego State).

Tuesday, January 23
*TCU at #13/#11 AIR FORCE, 7 p.m. - the mtn.
*SAN DIEGO STATE at UNLV, 7 p.m. - VERSUS

Wednesday, January 24
*COLORADO STATE at WYOMING, 7 p.m.
*BYU at NEW MEXICO, 8 p.m. - the mtn.

Saturday, January 27
*TCU at WYOMING, 1 p.m.
*UTAH at SAN DIEGO STATE, 3 p.m. - CSTV
*#13/#11 AIR FORCE at BYU, 4 p.m. - the mtn.
*NEW MEXICO at UNLV, 7 p.m. - the mtn.
