San Diego State remains unbeaten in MWC play at 4-0

San Diego State remains unbeaten in MWC action with its win over Wyoming on Saturday.  Also picking up victories in conference play were BYU, New Mexico and TCU.

BYU 55, Utah 52
Salt Lake City, Utah Sat., Jan. 19, 2008
  • BYU's Lee Cummard fell just shy of a double-double with 19 points and nine rebounds.
  • The Cougars ended a three-game road losing streak, picking up their first MWC road victory of the season.
  • Utah's 52 points are a season-low.

TCU 70, Colorado State 58
Fort Collins, Colo. Sat., Jan. 19, 2008
  • TCU's Henry Salter went 4-of-6 from 3-point range and finished with 14 points.
  • With the win, the Horned Frogs snapped their 12-game road losing streak.
  • Colorado State's Marcus Walker led all scorers with 25 points.

New Mexico 59, Air Force 44
Albuquerque, N.M. Sat., Jan. 19, 2008
  • New Mexico's J.R. Giddens had 15 points and 12 rebounds for his fourth double-double in the past six games.
  • The Lobos' 15-point win marks their largest margin of victory over the Falcons since an 89-72 decision at the Academy on Jan. 22, 2000.
  • Air Force shot a season-low 27.5 percent (11-of-40) from the field.

San Diego State 70, Wyoming 43

  • San Diego State's Lorrenzo Wade posted his first double-double of the season and the third of his career with 11 points and a career-high 13 rebounds.
  • The Aztecs' 27-point victory tied their largest margin of victory in an MWC game (Jan. 21, 2006 vs. BYU).
  • Wyoming's road losing streak stretched to five games.
