Frogs Victorious Against Grambling State, 79-64

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Brent Hackett scored a career-high 21 points to lead TCU past Grambling State 79-64 Wednesday night.

TCU (4-8) built on an 11-point halftime lead despite getting outshot 57 percent to 33 percent in the second half. The Horned Frogs did it by getting to the free-throw line, where they were 24-of-36 compared to 6-of-9 for the Tigers.

Brion Rush had a game-high 29 points and led Grambling State (2-5) with six rebounds and six steals.

The Horned Frogs improved to 7-0 all-time against the Tigers by outscoring them 26-7 on second-chance points.

Judson Stubbs had 18 points and a team-high nine rebounds for TCU, and Nile Murry added 16 points despite 4-of-15 shooting. He was 7-of-9 on free throws.
