FORT WORTH, Texas -- Richard Roby scored 15 of his 17 points in the first half to lead four Buffaloes in double figures as Colorado posted a 77-59 victory over TCU in men's basketball action Tuesday night at the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Horned Frogs saw their two-game winning streak snapped as they fell for the first time since Dec. 7 versus Tulane.

Colorado improved to 7-1, equaling its best start since the 1989-90 campaign.

TCU senior forward Chudi Chinweze made his season debut and totaled six points and six rebounds in 18 minutes. Chinweze had been sidelined since Dec. 9, 2004 with a knee injury.

Led by Chinweze, the Frogs' bench outscored the Colorado reserves 26-10. Ten of the 11 Frogs who saw action broke into the scoring column.

The Buffaloes scored the game's opening six points, all from Roby, in taking a 9-2 lead to start the contest. Roby scored 11 of Colorado's opening 14 points.

The Buffaloes took their largest lead of the first half at 30-20 on a jumper by Jayson Obazuaye with 3:23 to play. Colorado led 36-27 at the intermission.

The Buffaloes then opened the second half with an 11-2 spurt to extend their advantage to 47-29 on a Marcus Hall layup. TCU trimmed the deficit to 70-56 on a Neil P. Dougherty 3-pointer with 3:18 remaining.

Nile Murry led the Frogs with 12 points while Brent Hackett added 10.

Colorado shot 49.1 percent for the game, including 51.5 in the second half, while limiting TCU to a 30.5 mark.

The Frogs (3-7) had a 15-11 edge in offensive rebounding. Colorado held a 43-36 overall advantage on the boards. Judson Stubbs topped TCU with seven rebounds.

TCU hosts Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Thursday at noon.
