TCU Falls to Norfolk State in Paradise Jam Semis 66-53

ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands (AP) - Kyle O'Quinn scored 17 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, and Chris McEachin added 16 points to help Norfolk State defeat TCU 66-53 on Sunday.

The Spartans (3-1) used an 18-3 run early in the second half to take a 50-33 lead. Norfolk State then held off a late surge by the Horned Frogs to advance to the championship game of the Paradise Jam.

Adrick McKinney led the Horned Frogs (3-1) with 15 points and chipped in six rebounds and three steals. Hank Thorn was the only other TCU player to score in double figures, he had 12 points, four rebounds and five steals.

The Spartans will take on the winner of Marquette vs. Ole Miss on Monday night. Norfolk State lost at Marquette in their season opener, 99-68 on Nov. 14

Norfolk State, which knocked off Colonial Athletic Association preseason No. 1 Drexel in its first game of the tournament on Friday, led 28-26 at the half despite committing 16 turnovers against TCU.

Poor shooting from long-range hurt the Horned Frogs as they made only one of 18 attempts beyond the arc. They shot just 25 percent as a team.
