ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Drew Gordon had a double-double, leading six Lobos in double figures as New Mexico opened its season with a 92-40 win over New Orleans on Friday night.

Gordon finished with game highs of 14 points and 13 rebounds.

New Mexico (1-0) opened the game with a 9-0 run, holding the Privateers (0-1) off until the 15:15 mark, when Antonio Wertz hit a short jumper.

Lenny Harmon led New Orleans with 11 points.

For New Mexico, A. J. Hardeman and Cameron Bairstow each added 13 points, and three other Lobos had 12.

After extending its early lead to 19-4, New Mexico went on a 20-3 run, capped off by a 3-pointer from Jamal Fenton to go up 39-8. By halftime, the lead was 52-15.
