Frogs Open Season With 72-66 Win Over Centenary

Langford leads TCU with 16 points in home win.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Kevin Langford scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lift TCU past Centenary 72-66 on Saturday night.

Brent Hackett and Blake Adams each had 13 points for TCU (1-0).

Alexander Starr had 13 points and 10 rebounds for Centenary (0-1).

The Horned Frogs struggled at the free throw line. They led 32-31 at halftime despite hitting just 7-of-15 foul shots.

TCU shot 57 percent (21-of-37) from the foul line for the game.

Centenary shot 37 percent from the floor, but it stayed close thanks to 20 offensive rebounds.

Alvardo Parker chipped in with 12 points and Ryan Wall added 10 for TCU.

Tyrone Hamilton scored 11 for Centenary.
