LAS VEGAS (AP) - UNLV's Wink Adams had a game high 14 points Tuesday night and Joe Darger added 10 in leading the Rebels to a 70-37 exhibition victory over Division-II Dixie (Utah) State College.

Michael Umeh and Wendall White added nine points each for UNLV and Kevin Kruger had eight. The Rebels open the season Friday at home against Hawaii.

Dixie State, making the transition from the junior college ranks this winter, managed just 17 second half points. Ben Hartman led the way with nine points and Randall Shaw had a game high nine rebounds.

Greg Anthony, the point guard that led UNLV to the 1990 national championship, had his jersey No. 50 retired at halftime.
