Cowboys Lassoed By Colorado State CSU's Nelson leads all scorers with 25 points.

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Matt Nelson had 25 points and three blocks to lead No. 6 seed Colorado State over No. 3 seed Wyoming 74-71 in the first round of the Mountain West Conference tournament Thursday.
The Rams (17-13) made 8-of-8 free throws in the final 1:23.
Donta Richardson missed a 3-point attempt with one second left that would have tied the game for Wyoming (20-10).
The Cowboys took the lead 68-66 on two free throws from Joe Reis with 1:38 remaining. But Nelson responded, hitting two free throws with 1:23 left.
Andy Birley put the Rams ahead for good, 70-68, making two free throws with 1:02 left.
Colorado State went 23-for-51 from the field for 45.1 percent, while Wyoming was 25-of-57 for 43.9 percent.
Uche Nsonwu-Amadi led the Cowboys with 20 points and six rebounds. Richardson scored 17.
Brian Greene had 14 points and six rebounds for Colorado State, and Ronnie Clark added 10 points.
The tightly contested first half had 14 lead changes and eight ties. The
Cowboys led 38-36 at halftime.
