  • After TCU cut BYU's lead to three points, 23-20, the Cougars ended the first have with a 13-6 run that totaled 5:26 sparked by six points from Trent Plaisted to take a 36-26 lead at the half.
  • At the half BYU had 11 offensive rebounds (28 total), while TCU only had seven total rebounds.
  • At halftime, TCU had connected on 10 of 12 free throws for 83.3 percent while BYU was just 4 for 6 (66.7 percent).
  • The Cougars put together a 10-0 run that lasted 2:35 mid-way through the second half, TCU was 0-4 from the floor during the span.
  • With seven assists Austin Ainge tied the BYU MWC tournament assist record (Tying his own vs. New Mexico in 2005).
  • Coming off a 24-point performance in the first round, Brent Hackett was limited to just two points and one rebound against the Cougars.
  • BYU's 46 rebounds ties for fifth all-time in the MWC Championships. The 22 rebound advantage by the Cougars ties for the largest in tournament history when Utah out-rebounded UNLV 41-19 in the 2005 semi-finals.
  • TCU forward Kevin Langford eclipse 20 points for the fifth time in his last 10 games, he finished with a game-high 23 points. Langford was also 10-10 from the free throw line in the game which ties a MWC tournament record and eclipses the sophomore record set by CSU's Matt Nelson in 2003 (7-10).
  • BYU moves onto the semi-finals for the first time since the 2004 tournament. They will face the winner of the #4 Air Force/#5 Wyoming game on Friday at 6 p.m.
