After TCU cut BYU's lead to three points, 23-20, the Cougars ended the first have with a 13-6 run that totaled 5:26 sparked by six points from Trent Plaisted to take a 36-26 lead at the half.
At the half BYU had 11 offensive rebounds (28 total), while TCU only had seven total rebounds.

TCU forward Kevin Langford eclipse 20 points for the fifth time in his last 10 games, he finished with a game-high 23 points. Langford was also 10-10 from the free throw line in the game which ties a MWC tournament record and eclipses the sophomore record set by CSU's Matt Nelson in 2003 (7-10).
BYU moves onto the semi-finals for the first time since the 2004 tournament. They will face the winner of the #4 Air Force/#5 Wyoming game on Friday at 6 p.m.
