LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Justin Williams scored 12 points, including the game-winning put-back with .2 seconds remaining, as Wyoming beat TCU 67-65 Wednesday night.

Brandon Ewing's driving lay-up fell short for the Cowboys, but with seconds to go, Williams grabbed his 14th rebound of the night. The Horned Frogs were called for goaltending on the put-back, sealing the win for Wyoming.

Wyoming (12-11, 5-5 Mountain West Conference) finished the game on an 11-2 run. A Steve Leven three-pointer with 1:20 left brought the Cowboys within 65-63, and an ensuing 10-second violation against TCU (5-18, 1-8) and a pair of free-throws from Brandon Ewing tied the score at 65 with 54 seconds to go.

With his third block in the game, Wyoming's Justin Williams broke the MWC career record for blocked shots. He finished the game with four blocks, making 196 total during his two-year career at Wyoming.

Ewing scored 15 points for Wyoming. Steve Leven added 13. Derek Wabbing scored 12, and Brad Jones added 10 points for the Cowboys.

Nile Murry led the Horned Frogs with 15 points, and Brent Hackett added 13.

The Horned Frogs applied full court pressure to start the second half, forcing four turnovers in as many minutes and opening up a 49-36 lead with 16:03 to go.

The Cowboys came back with a 12-2 run that pulled them within 51-48 with 11:29 left.


 

 

Wyoming led by as much as five points in the first half before TCU went on a 10-5 run to finish the period. Art Pierce's three-pointer at the buzzer capped off the run, tying the score at 33.
