PROVO, Utah (AP) - Rafael Araujos scored 16 points and grabbed 8 rebounds as BYU defeated Colorado State 82-53 Saturday night.

The Cougars held Colorado State to just 34 percent shooting from the field, including 3-of-22 from 3-point range. Matt Nelson, the Ram's leading scorer, was questionable for the game - and played just 4 minutes with a right knee sprain.

Colorado State (8-7, 0-2 Mountain West) did not reach the 30-point mark until 9:20 left in the game on a layup by Phillip Thomasson.

Freddy Robinson led the Rams with 16 points.

Jared Jensen pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds for the Cougars (11-4, 1-1).
