PROVO, Utah (AP) -Austin Ainge scored 20 points and handed out six assists and Brigham Young won its seventh straight, beating TCU 89-65 Wednesday night.

BYU (12-4, 2-0 Mountain West) led by as many as 23 points in the first half and 28 points in the second while giving the Horned Frogs (10-5, 2-1) their first loss in league play.

The Cougars, who have won 24 straight at home, shot 59 percent and made 14 of 25 3-pointers and led 48-25 at halftime.

Jonathan Tavernari scored 18 for BYU, hitting his first six 3-pointers. He didn't miss until 6:19 remained in the game. Mike Rose was the only other Cougar in double figures with 11 points off the bench, all in the first half.

TCU shot 36 percent, going just 3-for-16 from beyond the 3-point line. The Frogs' reserves were outscored 44-15.

Kevin Langford led TCU with 18 points. Brent Hackett scored 12 for the Frogs.
