DENVER (AP) - Yemi Nicholson scored 22 points and had 15 rebounds and made a key block and free throw in the final two minutes Monday night as Denver snapped a five-game losing streak with a 69-64 win over Wyoming.

DaShawn Walker was 4-of-7 from 3-point range to add 17 points and Andrew Carpenter helped out with 10 assists as Denver (6-6) played before its first sellout crowd at Magness Arena.

Steven Leven led Wyoming (7-6) with 20 points, while Derek Wabbington and Brad Jones scored 10 points each.

Nicholson scored 12 points and had three blocked shots, and Denver forced seven turnovers to keep it close in the first half as Wyoming outshot Denver 53.6 percent to 48.3 percent and outrebounded the Pioneers 18 to 13 to take a 35-34 halftime lead.

In the second half, Denver and Wyoming exchanged leads with Walker hitting 3-of-3 3-pointers and Nicholson keying a run to open a lead.

The Cowboys pulled to within a point, but Walker hit a running jumper as the shot clock expired with less than two minutes left. Nicholson then blocked a shot and later made a free throw to seal the win.
