16 MWC Student-Athletes Selected in 2008 Major League Baseball Draft

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -
The Mountain West Conference had 16 players selected during the 2008 Major League Baseball Draft, held June 5-6 in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
TCU right-handed pitcher Andrew Cashner was the conference's highest pick, selected by the Chicago Cubs in the first round (19th overall selection).
There have been 152 MWC players selected in the nine-year history of the league.
