June 8, 2006

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- BYU right hander Jordan Muir has been selected to the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American squad as announced Thursday (June 8) by Collegiate Baseball Magazine.

Muir, from Las Vegas, Nev., posted a 6-0 record with a 3.97 earned run average in 2006. The .256 opposing batting average against Muir was a new record low for an MWC freshman, with his .243 opposing batting average also setting the freshman record in league games. Muir was selected MWC Pitcher of the Week for the week of Apr. 10, for his relief appearance at UNLV in a nationally-televised game. He was also named Sirius Satellite Radio Player of Game.
