COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Mountain West Conference had 19 players selected during the 2006 Major League Baseball Draft, held June 6-7 in New York City.

TCU second baseman Chad Huffman was the conference's highest pick, selected by the San Diego Padres in the second round (53rd overall selection).

San Diego State had the most players taken with nine, while TCU had four players selected.

There have been 111 MWC players selected in the seven-year history of the league.
