Feb. 25, 2008

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Mountain West Conference announced its 2008 baseball television schedule today. This season's slate features 18 games on national and regional television, with the possibility of a 19th game if a second championship contest is necessary at the 2008 Phillips 66 MWC Baseball Tournament. The television package includes seven conference match- ups, one non-league game and all MWC Tournament contests. The championship game(s) will be broadcast live by The Mtn., and re-aired on CBS College Sports Network (CSTV). It will also be the second consecutive season that all games from the baseball championship will be televised.

Seventeen games will be shown on the MountainWest Sports Network - The Mtn., with two more to be telecast nationally on CBS College Sports Network.

Conference play begins Thursday, March 13, with BYU taking on San Diego State in the first game of a three-game tilt in San Diego.

The Mtn. will not only broadcast live games, but will air pre-game and post game shows for all baseball games, as well as regular coverage on The Mtn.'s shows The Mountain View and The Mountain Cap, which break down MWC games, look ahead to the big games on the horizon and feature extensive game highlights. The Mtn. will also feature coverage on baseball players and coaches on Mountain Peak Performances, a weekly show which puts the spotlight on athletes and coaches in Olympic sports.

Below is a listing of the 2008 broadcast schedule.
