Feb. 12, 2007 COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Mountain West Conference announced its 2007 baseball television schedule today. This season's slate features an unprecedented 18 games on national and regional television, with the possibility of a 19th game if a second contest is necessary on championship day of the 2007 MWC Baseball Tournament. The television package includes six conference match ups, two non-league games and all 10 MWC Championship contests, with a replay of the championship game to be broadcast nationally via tape delay by CSTV: College Sports Television. The number of games covered by the MWC broadcast partners in 2007 is more than double the national and regional telecasts MWC baseball has received combined since the inception of the conference, in addition to significant pre-game and post game coverage and analysis for the first time. It will also be the first time that all 10 games from the baseball championship will be shown. Sixteen games will be shown on the MountainWest Sports Network - The Mtn., with three more to be telecast nationally on CSTV. Conference play begins Thursday, March 15, with BYU taking on UNLV in the first game of a three-game tilt in Las Vegas. Today's television announcement reflects the benefits of the ongoing partnership between CSTV Networks and Comcast for The Mtn. - MountainWest Sports Network. The Mtn. is the first 24-hour sports network devoted exclusively to a single conference. The Mtn. will not only broadcast live games, but will air pre-game and post game shows for all baseball and all but one softball game, as well as regular coverage on The Mtn's shows The Mountain View and The Mountain Cap, which break down MWC games, look ahead to the big games on the horizon and feature extensive game highlights. The Mtn. will also feature coverage of baseball players and coaches on Mountain Peak Performances, a new weekly show which puts the spotlight on athletes and coaches in Olympic sports. Below is a listing of the 2007 baseball games.
