SAN DIEGO - Where Tony Gwynn lives, there is no need for weather reports.

It's stuck on 72 and sunny.

There are too many beautiful beaches and lush golf courses to count.

And he has all the money he needs after a 20-year major league career that produced 3,141 hits, eight batting titles and a .338 batting average, numbers that will send him to the Hall of Fame when he's eligible in 2006.
