FORT WORTH, Texas - The preseason accolades continue to roll in for TCU, as the Horned Frogs were listed at No. 1 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association's preseason poll, released Monday. This marks the second No. 1 preseason ranking for the Frogs, who also garnered the top spot in the Collegiate Baseball's preseason poll. TCU also earned a No. 3 preseason listing by Baseball America.

The Frogs are the first Mountain West team to earn a No. 1 preseason ranking in the 12-year history of the Conference.

Under the direction of 2010 NCBWA Coach of the Year Jim Schlossnagle, TCU returns its entire starting rotation and seven starting position players from from a year ago. The Frogs captured both the Mountain West Conference regular-season and tournament titles before advancing to the semifinals of the 2010 College World Series. All three members of the Horned Frogs' rotation (Matt Purke, Steven Maxwell and Kyle Winkler) have earned preseason All-American accolades, while Jason Coats represents the hitters as a preseason All-American.

The Frogs finished the 2010 season ranked No. 3 after an historic run through the postseason that saw them come within a win of the championship series.

The 2011 season gets underway on Friday, Feb. 18.
