BYU Men's Cross Country Team Finishes 13th At 2005 NCAA Cross Country Championships TCU's Kip Kangogo and Colorado State's Josh Glaab finishes 33rd and 82nd, respectively
Nov. 21, 2005 COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The eighth-ranked BYU men's cross country team finished a stellar season with a 13th-place finish at the 2005 NCAA Cross Country National Championships today at Indiana State University's LaVern Gibson Championship Course at The Wabash Valley Family Sports Center in Terre Haute, Ind. Individually, TCU senior Kip Kangogo and Colorado State senior Josh Glaab finished 33rd and 82nd, respectively. The Cougars placed two of its five scoring runners in the top 30 and tallied a total score of 416. Junior Josh Rohatinsky brought home BYU's first-ever top five finish as members of the MWC, finishing fourth overall with a time of 29:40.20 to lead the Cougars. Rohatinsky's time is the fastest time by an MWC runner in NCAA Championship competition. Sophomore Chandler Goodwin was the next Cougar to finish the race (28th, 30:16.90 ), followed by senior Josh McAdams (101st, 31:17.50), senior Nick McCombs (139th, 31:39.00 ), freshman Jacob Gustafsson (144th, 31:42.30 ), sophomore Dustin Bybee (149th, 31:44.00 ) and sophomore Tyrel Jensen (162nd, 31:52.70). Wisconsin brought home the team title, as the Badgers' Simon Bairu won his second consecutive men's individual title.
