She will be the ninth athlete from the University of Utah to qualify for the NCAA Championship meet in four seasons under head coach Brian Appell.
Quoting Head Coach Brian Appell:
"I am excited that Elise qualified for the championship race," states Appell. "She was in great shape last year and would have qualified if not for having gotten mononucleosis the week prior to the Mountain Region Championships. This has been a great show of courage and commitment on Elise's part to rededicate herself to accomplish her goal."
