Nov. 16, 2007

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo - Colorado State cross country coach Bryan Berryhill has been selected as the 2007 Mountain Region Women's Coach of the Year by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The USTFCCCA today announced the women's and men's coaches and athletes of the year for nine Division I regions.

Berryhill's Rams defeated a strong field to win the Mountain Regional held on Nov. 10 in Ogden, Utah. No. 12 Colorado State also won the Mountain West Conference title and finished sixth at Pre-Nationals. Berryhill was a two-time NCAA champion and 10-time All-American in the middle distances for Colorado State. He earned the 2007 Mountain West Conference Women's Coach of the Year award earlier this season in just his second year at the helm of the Colorado State program.

Berryhill's Rams travel to Terre Haute, Ind., next to compete Saturday, Nov. 17, in the NCAA Cross Country Championships. For the first time in NCAA history, the championship will air live on CSTV beginning with the men's race at 12 p.m. ET and followed by the women's event at 12:55 p.m. ET.
