LAS VEGAS - The UNLV women's cross country team will compete on Saturday morning in the 2003 NCAA West Regionals, hosted by the University of Portland at Blue Lake Park in Gresham, Ore. The women's 6k race is schedule to start at 12:15 pm.

The top two teams and the top four individuals at the regionals will advance to the national championship meet on Nov. 24 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The West regional is one of nine NCAA regionals being held.

Junior Michele Suszek looks to lead the way this weekend, as she's been the Rebels' top finisher in all six meets thus far in 2003. Also running for UNLV will be Erin Hammond, Heather Walsh, Ashley Pierce, and Sarah Loughlin, while Monica Matute will also make the trip as an alternate.
