SALT LAKE CITY--The University of Utah cross country program announced today that it has received a letter of intent from Utah prep standout Nick McKay of St. Joseph's High School. The Ogden, Utah, native McKay posted the fourth-fastest time in the state (15:50.1) en route to winning the 2002 Utah 1A Cross Country Championship. McKay led St. Joseph's to its fourth straight 1A title.

"Nick will make a fine addition to this developing Ute squad. He will have an impact in the future years' success," says Head Coach Brian Appell.
