THIS WEEK The University of Utah Utes will attend the NCAA Mountain Regional Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The 6k race will begin at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11.

LAST WEEK The Utes were able to get some light practicing in to keep their legs fresh and ready for the meet on Saturday.

UTE NOTES Last year at the NCAA Mountain Regional Championships the Utes placed 15th with a total of 396 points. Coach Kyle Kepler is looking to the freshman to step it up and lead the Utes this weekend. Freshman Rebecca Mackelprang is still questionable to race this weekend, due to a sore ankle.

KEPLER'S QUOTES "I am confident that we our athletes will continue to step it up this week and help build the program," Coach Kyle Kepler says. "I hope we can end this season strong and return next fall with a new level of intensity for next season."

"I have no set place I want for the NCAAs," remarks Kepler, "I only want a great effort out of everyone, and to know we did everything we could do this season.

NEXT WEEK This weeks NCAA Regional Championship will determine whether the Utes will qualify for the NCAA Championships in Indiana.
