This Week

The University of Utah cross country teams will travel to Provo, Utah to compete in the Mountain Region Championships on Nov. 10. The men's 8K race will begin at 11:00 a.m. and the women's 6K will begin at 12:00 p.m. In addition to BYU, the Utes will compete against Air Force, Colorado, Colorado State, Denver, Idaho State, Montana, Montana State, Nevada, New Mexico, Northern Arizona, Southern Utah, Texas-El Paso, Texas Tech, Utah State, Weber State and Wyoming.

Last Competition

The Utah men's cross country team finished third and the women's team finished fourth at the MWC Championships in Albuquerque, N.M. Utah's Teren Jameson received the 2001 MWC Runner of the Year. Jameson also was named to the 2001 MWC Men's All-Conference First Team with Colby Frazier. Utah's Head Coach Brian Appell received the 2001 MWC Coach of the Year honors.

Ute Notes

The men's cross country team is ranked No. 25 in the National Coaches Poll released on Oct. 30th.
