2008 All-Mountain West Conference Cross Country Teams Announced
BYU's Ed Eyestone and New Mexico's Joe Franklin named Coaches of the Year

SAN DIEGO, Calif. -
Wyoming senior Mark Korir and BYU junior Angela Wagner were named Men's and Women's Athletes of the Year, respectively, to lead the 2008 All-Mountain West Conference Cross Country teams. BYU's Ed Eyestone was named Men's Coach of the Year, while New Mexico's Joe Franklin earned Women's Coach of the Year honors.
Korir became the first Wyoming runner to win Male Athlete of the Year accolades. Wagner, meanwhile, improved on a fourth-place finish at the 2007 MWC Championship to win her first Female Athlete of the Year award and the ninth by a Cougar runner in the 10-year history of the Mountain West.
Wyoming also had the Freshman of the Year winner on the men's side with Ryan Griesbach taking the honor, while the women's Freshman of the Year award went to Lacey Oeding of New Mexico.
