COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - BYU junior Josh Rohatinsky and San Diego State sophomore Lital Azulay have been selected as the Mountain West Conference men's and women's cross country athletes of the week, respectively. This is the second weekly honor for both recipients this season.

Rohatinsky, a Provo, Utah, native, brought home the individual crown in the Blue Team Race at the NCAA Pre-Nationals Meet last Saturday in Terre Haute, Ind. He clocked a career-best and MWC season-best 23:30.70 in the 8K event, which is also the second fastest 8K ran in MWC history. Rohatinsky headed the sixth-ranked Cougars charge, which placed all of their scoring runners in the top-55, to a second-place finish overall, in a race that featured 10 other ranked teams. His time bested his previous career effort by 10 seconds.

Azulay, from Holon, Israel, won the individual title at the Santa Clara Invitational in Sunnyvale, Calif., last weekend, propelling San Diego State to its first team title in two years. Her time of 17:03.10 in the 5K is her career best and ranks as the fifth-fastest time in SDSU history, as well as the top time in the conference this season.
