Terre Haute, Ind. -- The Colorado State men's cross country team finished seventh at the 2004 NCAA Pre-National Meet, hosted by Indiana State University, today with 263 points, while the women placed 10th in the 6000 meter race with 340 points.

Senior Mike Nicks was the top Colorado State finisher, placing 24th in the 8000 meter race with a time of 24:31.4. Josh Glaab placed 32nd in 24:36.1, while Matt Cianciulli was 45th after crossing the tape in 24:48.7. Paul Michel finished 59th in 24:57.0 and Rob Watson rounded out the scoring with a 112th-place finish in 25:24.0.

The women were led by junior Nicole Feest in 22nd place with a time of 21:10.6, while freshman Sarah Loseke was 43rd overall, finishing in 21:27.6. Michelle Carman placed 64th in 21:47.6, Colleen Blair was 91st with a clocking of 22:03.8 and Rebekah Yetzer rounded out the scoring with a 120th-place finish and a time of 22:24.2.

Colorado won the women's race with 94 points and had the race winner in Renee Metevier (20:03.6). Stanford won the men's competition with 77 points and had the winner in Ryan Hall (23:54.4).

Colorado State will next compete in the 2004 Mountain West Conference Championship, hosted by San Diego State, on Oct. 30. The Rams will then host the NCAA Mountain Regional on Nov. 13 at Collindale Golf Course in Fort Collins.
