MWC Cross Country Athletes of the Week Air Force's Richard Elmore and Lindsay Grose honored
Oct. 13, 2004 COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Air Force sophomore Richard Elmore and junior Lindsay Grose have been selected as the Mountain West Conference men's and women's cross country athletes of the week, respectively. Elmore, from Napa, Calif., led the 13th-ranked Falcons to a first place finish at the Fort Hays Invitational in Hays, Kan., last weekend, crossing the finish line third overall (out of 84 runners). He finished the 8K race in a season-best 26:08. Grose, a Mission Viejo, Calif., native, paced Air Force's women with her victory in the 5K race at the Fort Hays Invitational. Her career-best time of 18:41 led AFA to the team victory, its first of the season.
