COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - TCU junior Festus Kigen and BYU junior Angela Wagner have been selected as the Mountain West Conference men's and women's cross country athletes of the week, respectively.

Kigen paced the Horned Frogs last Saturday at the 72nd Annual Cowboy Jamboree held in Stillwater, Okla. He clocked a personal-best 8K time of 24:18 to cross the finish-line in sixth-place in front of a field that included the likes of No. 2 Oklahoma State, No. 16 Northern Arizona and Indiana, who is receiving votes in the national poll. The Eldoret, Kenya, native's time is currently the fourth-fastest time recorded for the 8K distance in the league this fall.

Hailing from Centurion, Pretoria, South Africa, Wagner finished 12th overall at the Bill Dellinger Invitational last Saturday held in Springfield, Ore. She was the Cougars' front-runner, clocking a 6K time of 21:14, which now leads the Conference for the fastest time of that distance. Wagner competed against a field including No. 1 Oregon, No. 11 Arkansas and No. 17 Colorado State. This marks her second weekly honor of the season.
