Colorado State seniors Mike Nicks and Nicole Feest have been selected as the Mountain West Conference men's and women's cross country athletes of the week, respectively.

Nicks, from Colorado Springs, Colo., was the top finisher for the Rams (21st overall) at the Roy Griak Invitational last weekend in Minneapolis, Minn. Competing in a field that featured eight top-25 teams and 223 total runners, Nicks completed the 8K race in a season-best time of 24:55, leading the 20th-ranked Rams to a sixth place finish in the men's gold division.

Feest, a Lombard, Ill., product, helped the CSU women to a 10th place finish at the Roy Griak Invitational, crossing the finish line 13th overall in 21:31. Her time is a team-best on the year, as she finished ahead of the entire No. 19 Arkansas team and No. 20 Butler squad at the Invite, which had seven of the nation's top- 25 squads included in the field.
